Success belongs to lifelong learners. That's why it's crucial to encourage and support the continuous development of our colleagues so that they feel motivated, purposeful, and excited to pursue new career opportunities. And to reach these goals, we make the most of our many internal learning opportunities.
Ieva Veklenko, our Learning and Development Manager, notes that each company has its unique context, shaped by its products and services. Thus, external training may face challenges addressing employees' more specific learning needs.
'Stay hungry for knowledge' is one of our Ethos — and we live up to these words.
That's why it's vital to spot internal talents and experts and provide them with opportunities to share their knowledge. As they possess specific work- and product-related knowledge, when employees exchange this valuable information, they foster each other's, as well as the company's, growth.
Ieva adds that sharing knowledge fosters collaboration, personal development, and professional growth of colleagues. Also, when teaching others, we memorize 95 % of the information — and that's a huge plus, too.
LinkedIn's Workplace Learning 2023 report estimates that by 2027, roughly 50 % of the skills needed to be a great performer in your role will change. This means that to stay competitive in the job market, adopting a growth mindset and keeping up with the latest industry trends is essential.
"Many forward-thinking companies, us included, encourage employees to not only be interested in new technologies but also in how these technologies are reshaping the job market.
If we're in need of specific competencies that we don't possess internally, we seek external experts from Lithuania and abroad.
I think that if an organization wants to retain and empower its employees, it must foster an environment that helps employees unleash their full potential and nurtures their talents," says Ieva.
'Stay hungry for knowledge' is one of our Ethos — and we live up to these words. Around 80 % of our colleagues annually participate in at least one internal training session. We offer plenty of internal training and programs to choose from, as well as mentoring and knowledge-sharing sessions for both soft and professional skills.
So — how exactly do we exchange knowledge at Oxylabs? Aside from regular career planning and training, we have some extra initiatives:
Career Ambassadors program, where you can meet with colleagues and learn about how they've elevated their careers to where they are today;
Guilds, where you connect with colleagues in your professional field, discuss best practices, and look for solutions to common problems together;
TesoXchange mentorship program, where you can get a mentor — an expert in your area of interest — from a huge pool of talents;
Leadership Circle program, where you meet with fellow people managers across the company to build your skills together.
Since there are few companies with products and services similar to ours, we enjoy sharing our knowledge with the broader community through our events: global client virtual conferences like OxyCon, Scraping Experts lessons for those wanting to understand our product better, and various meetups for software developers and other professionals.
If we're in need of specific competencies that we don't possess internally, we seek external experts from Lithuania and abroad. Not to mention, our colleagues often travel to global conferences and bring back new work methods and solutions to our company.
Ready to learn, then learn some more, and then share your knowledge with the entire community? Hop on board — explore our open positions.
